Postdoctoral Research Scientist

A Postdoctoral Research Scientist position is available for 18 months funded by an ARPA-H LIGHT (lymphatic imaging, genomics, and phenotyping technologies) grant, a multicenter study which overall purpose is to accelerate transformative advances in lymphatic medicine.

The successful applicant will be based at City St George’s University London (Tooting Campus) working in the Lymphovascular Research group. The role will involve investigating and determining causativeness of gene mutations for primary lymphoedema, using mainly site-directed mutagenesis, cell culture methodologies, antibody-based protein detection and imaging techniques.

The post holder could be a postdoctoral scientist with a background in cell biology and molecular biology. Ideally with proven work experience at senior level in the field of biomedical research. Detailed knowledge of the lymphatic system will not be essential, but a good understanding of the lymphatic system biology and function will be highly valuable. An academic interest and initiative which allows for development of the lymphatic molecular genetics programme at CSG will be advantageous.
