Translational Postdoctoral Research Fellowship

This is an exciting opportunity for Senior Postdoctoral Researchers to undertake a 3-year fellowship working across a wide spectrum of translational research at St George’s School of Health and Medical Sciences, City St George’s University. This fellowship has been created by the University in partnership with Rosetrees Trust.   The fellowship aims to provide support and development to enable successful progression from postdoctoral research to university lecturer positions. 

These posts will be in areas of translational research for the benefit of both patients and the local community. Research must be in areas compatible with the Clinical Academic Groups (CAGs) in the following areas:

  • Neurosciences
  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Infection
  • Genomics

The successful applicant  will be required to undertake translational research for patient benefit and will be trained in the skills required to become a successful research-focused lecturer alongside clinicians in the CAGs. Successful applicants will need to demonstrate their outstanding potential by evidence of a key role in high quality research and an ability to plan and conceive original research.
