We are looking to appoint an exceptional person to join the Library’s NHS Team to contribute to our highly customer focused service to a wide range of users (students, University staff, NHS staff and visitors). The successful candidate will work closely with our local NHS staff to identify, develop and deliver the services they need to ensure excellent patient care as well as to support their workplace and development needs.
We would like to hear from highly competent candidates who have recent experience in an NHS library setting and have an understanding of the needs and requirements of our particular user base.
Key attributes of the successful applicant include:
- Educated to graduate standard or equivalent
- Experience in delivering excellent information literacy skills training
- Experience of database searching
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective team worker
You will need excellent communication skills and a willingness to engage with our wide range of NHS users to explore their information needs. You will develop and deliver Information Skills training, support materials and our mediated literature search service. Flexibility, as well as being able to work independently, are crucial.
