Lecturer in Radiotherapy and Oncology

The Radiotherapy and Oncology Section within the Department for Allied Health at City St George’s University of London is seeking to appoint an exceptional Registered Therapeutic Radiographer, with clinical experience, to join our small but friendly team.

We are looking for applicants who are proactive professionals, and can demonstrate a dynamic, innovative, and collaborative approach to student support, learning, teaching, and research. The ability to build and maintain relationships is essential, within the Section, Department, School, University and beyond with our stakeholders and partners. Applicants will also need to possess leadership and management skills, and support recruitment, admissions, and outreach work.

You will be expected to contribute to the provision of high-quality teaching, and professional activity, as a member of a teaching team and in collaboration with others, to the benefit of a diverse range of students and colleagues.  To contribute to the University’s strategic objectives of outstanding student-centered, research-informed learning, innovation, and integrated clinical and academic practice.

Key attributes of the successful applicant include:

  • Range of experience in clinical practice, 
  • Experience within pre-treatment and / or dosimetry
  • Subject knowledge in breadth and depth commensurate with teaching on an undergraduate programme,
  • Ability to deliver, at a consistent level, quality learning in specific indicated areas of academic/clinical practice,
  • Engage a diverse range of students to motivate and inspire them to perform at their best, 
  • Empathetic and compassionate, 
  • Committed to embedding practices which embrace diversity and promote equality of opportunity, 
  • Able to work autonomously and integrate well within a small team.
